My philosophy
Through the loss of close loved ones in recent years, I became very aware of just how priceless a photo can be. They have the amazing ability to bring you right back to the long hugs, the spontaneous ideas, crazy adventures, big milestones, and the little glimpses of real, everyday life that you don't ever want to forget.
This is why I put a large focus on storytelling and a documentary approach to how I shoot, along with a good dose of direction mixed in (because I don't want you to feel any ounce of awkward). I've grown my photographic and artistic style around focusing on intention, meaning, honesty, and all the details, realities, and things that matter most to those I work with. I then weave your story together into a visual piece of art for you to hold onto for years to come.

Usually when we do photos we feel nervous about doing the right poses or about our kids not doing the "right thing" but when we had our session with Ashley we didn't feel any of that right from the start. It was the most relaxed photo session we've ever done!! We truly enjoyed her company and appreciated that she wasn't hyper focused on getting the perfect shots which in turn made our photos perfect shots. It was a candid and casual experience. Our kids warmed up to her quickly as well.
