Andrew and Breanna (Breezy) got married on the most perfect September day in Duluth, Minnesota. The weather was an amazing 60 degrees and sunny, and I have been on pins and needles just waiting to share a peek into their beautiful wedding day!
The day started with everyone getting ready at the new Clyde Malting Building – a division of Clyde Iron Works, with that same fun, historical and industrial vibe. Everyone was so welcoming, and the love and support for Breezy and Andrew was instantly felt through their family and friends all day long.
Once everyone was ready, Breezy had an emotional first look with her father before he drove her over to Chester Park to see her groom for the first time. I had the opportunity to scout locations for photos with the couple when we were up in the area for their engagement session. They both fell in love with the park and the north shore vibe it provides with it’s hiking trails, rocky terrain, creek, and waterfall right in the heart of Duluth.
Breezy and Andrew shared a very special first look and some quiet moments together before we rolled into photos with their wedding party and adventured around the creek and park. They had the BEST crew who were up for anything – including almost jumping part of the creek (which didn’t end up happening, no worries!). We then headed back to the Malting Building for photos with their family before the ceremony.
The ceremony took place on the balcony of the Malting Building, and was simply incredible from start to finish. Every detail, every word spoke, and every prayer said was filled with love and support for Breezy and Andrew, and focused on their strong faith and foundation in the Lord. They shared communion together during their ceremony, and had their wedding party come around them and pray over them before they were pronounced husband and wife.
After their kiss and pronunciation, they ran out and took some time together just the two of them before dinner (brides and grooms take note – I highly recommend doing this if you are able!). Everyone else filed downstairs and the reception began. They selflessly chose to stand at the beginning of the buffet line to greet and hug each of their guests, as everyone filed through and grabbed some of the delicious Mexican style taco bar that Clyde catered.
The rest of the day was filled with good food, laughter, and more hugs and kisses from the newlyweds. Andrew’s father, Darrel, had the honor of praying over the meal, while the best man, David, matron of honor, Jeannie, and Breezy’s father, Phil, shared some stories and love through the speeches they gave. They all had us laughing and crying happy tears as we celebrated these two. As soon as dinner was over, the kids were the first to hop over to the dessert station to grab some ice cream. Andrew and Breezy brought in a special dessert of Affogato for their guests – vanilla ice cream, complete with toppings, and strong coffee poured over the top. This girl’s coffee obsessed heart was alllll about this – so yummy!
I am beyond excited for Andrew and Breezy as they have now begun a new adventure together in their lives, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them! I feel so SO blessed to have been a part of this incredible day!
